Summary: Another day, another swarm of stinging insects. Only this time, the reasons for it being released are rather...more selfish than usual.

History: A mad scientist and his gang, including a drug dealer, have raided a Guatemalan cave for a rare species of wasp for the sake of science. Rather idiotically, the dealer is put in charge of carrying the collected wasps as cargo. Then an accident on the road releases them. Not a good premonition for a small Mexican town, as the swarm descends upon just about everything it makes compound eye contact with.

Notable Kills: At least one of the victims, a conspiracy theorist, gets used as a hive for a bit before unleashing itself on others.

Final Fate: Eventually, both the scientist and the queen's nest are set on fire by a flamethrower. Then yet another team of people comes looking for the nest, proving that those who don't learn from history are condemned to repeat it.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Even the most painful looking stings and sheer numbers on this swarm's part cannot mask the fact that the CGI is awful on all fronts. You'd think it'd be...oh wait, animating all of those individual wasps sounds like a nightmare. Nevermind.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Black Fire".
